Korean Folk Village

One of the nice things the Kwanglim Church did for us is take us here to see what life was like in Korea 150 years ago. It is a tourist place to take people to, with shops and shows but it gives us an idea of the conditions of the day. They even paid for a guide (seen below) to give us a tour of the area.

This is the year of the Golden Pig.

These are typical rice fields of Korea. They are still all over the countryside (at least part of what we saw in our travels).
A traditional basket maker.
This is the empeorers palace. It could be the governor, I can't quite remember. Anyway somebody important would have lived here and it was here that official business was done.
This would be the emporer seated here. He would also excute judgment. They would beat people publically for crimes against the community. They also put people in solitary by a head lock.

This would be a traditional home.

These homes were not big as you can see. The toilet below can still be found in many places in the world.

They did have entertainment, a 50 year old tight rope walker. It was amazing he could bend his body that way. The traditional dancing was tremendous as well. Once again, fellow BP will give you a sense of what it was like in the video below. Thanks Aaron for your skills and time!
